You know, sometimes things seem so right and we can come up with all kinds of reasons to keep doing what we're doing but if it goes against any of the principles that God has given us to live by then it is still wrong. Society would have us believe that if it seems right, feels right, it must be right. God's plans don't seem to work that way. Sometimes something will seem completely wrong and yet we know it is the right thing to do. In hindsight, we can usually see that God just simply wanted us to trust Him.Elaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02478492908186510970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6661420605021165049.post-8619126688664512352010-11-18T07:24:27.914-08:002010-11-18T07:24:27.914-08:00just last week at my Bible Study one of the ladies...just last week at my Bible Study one of the ladies talked about how, like a Father, God wants to give us good things and bless our lives (I'm not talking material blessings here) but can't always because we've gone our own way and need to have the consequences. It was an "a-ha" moment for me. Maybe it was just the way she worded it. It made me take more of an honest look at my walk with God. I want to be (in the way of character) so many things, and so many of those things ultimately are the Fruit of the Spirit. Developing that fruit though takes constant pruning of the tree, constant rooting for that Living Water.
Anyway, I'm still mulling over it.Jobinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00026043422743662317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6661420605021165049.post-85160096055939735182010-11-18T07:10:38.333-08:002010-11-18T07:10:38.333-08:00Speaking ONLY for me, myself and I....I've com...Speaking ONLY for me, myself and I....I've come to realize that REGULAR, honest examination of MY heart, using God's standards, is the only way I can live a life that remains filled with peace and joy.

The examination process is not always pleasant ..... or I should say ..... the revelation process is not always pleasant, BUT ultimately is SO freeing!

Life is difficult enough, without adding to it MY issues of disobedience or rebellion or denial or ..... (you get the picture!).

To your words, Elayne, I say AMEN!Renitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11848394408901495456noreply@blogger.com
